These final two tanks contain, one of them, purified water in order to use it as quench baths for galvanized materials to drop their temperature in a sudden in which case the galvanizing reaction will stop and by this mean we assure a uniform appearance for the surface. The last tank contains passivated solution which would prevent white rust and it would give a bright coating appearance for more time.
Zinc Bath
The Hot Dip Galvanizing is a process known for Zinc Coating, or commonly known as Galvanizing. This tank is called as Zinc Kettle too that contains molten zinc at about 450 °C (842 °F) where black steel is immersed for a determined time to get finally a coating result with a tightly-bonded alloy between iron and zinc forming itself into a long-term corrosion barrier.
Flux Solution
This tank contains chemical ingredients which allow a perfect coating results due to its combination of ammonium zinc chlorides in order to remove all oxide film which forms from acid washing tanks. Besides, this tank’s high temperature would allow a fast dryed so it would be ready to be galvanized.
Rinsing
This process consists on washing materials in a water bath. It is very important because every remaining and acid residues over the material surface are removed before they start the next step.
Pickling
We have 4 tanks full of acid solution which remove all impurities usually known as stains, rust or inorganic residues from black steel materials as an effective surface treatment before HDG.
Preparation
Every Black Steel Materials requires specific handling procedures which are prepared according to their delivery schedule and based on special requirements from our customers.
